What is my face shape?
Find your face shape with AI. Drop a selfie and the face shape detector measures your forehead, cheekbones, jaw and face length, then tells you what suits you.
A best guess from one photo. Hair, angle and lens all shift it, so try two or three.

The 7 face shapes
Oval face
Longer than wide, with a forehead a little wider than a gently rounded jaw.
Glasses: Most frames suit you; wide rectangular or geometric frames keep the balance.
Round face
About as wide as it is long, with full cheeks and a soft, rounded jaw.
Glasses: Angular frames (rectangular, square, wayfarer) add definition.
Square face
A broad forehead and a strong, angular jaw of similar width.
Glasses: Round or oval frames soften the angles.
Heart face
A wider forehead and cheekbones that taper to a narrow, pointed chin.
Glasses: Bottom-heavy, oval or light rimless frames balance a narrow chin.
Diamond face
Cheekbones are the widest part, with a narrower forehead and jaw.
Glasses: Oval, cat-eye or rimless frames soften the cheekbones.
Oblong face
Noticeably longer than wide, with a long, straight cheek line.
Glasses: Deep, oversized or decorative frames shorten the face.
Triangle face
The jaw is the widest part, with a narrower forehead.
Glasses: Top-heavy frames (browline, cat-eye) widen the upper face.
FAQ
What is my face shape?
Upload a front-facing selfie above. The AI measures your face length, forehead, cheekbones and jaw and tells you which of the seven face shapes you are closest to: oval, round, square, heart, diamond, oblong or triangle.
How does the face shape test work?
A face model finds 468 points on your face in your browser. From them we measure length against width, forehead and jaw against cheekbones, and how pointed your chin is, then match those numbers to each face shape.
How do I find my face shape without an app?
Pull your hair back and look straight into a mirror. Compare your face length with its width, then your forehead, cheekbones and jaw. The widest part and the shape of your jaw (soft, angular or pointed) usually decide it. Our face shape scanner does the same measuring for you.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The face shape detector runs on your device and your photo never leaves it.
Why do I get a different face shape in different photos?
Head tilt, camera distance, a wide-angle lens and hair over the forehead or jaw all change the measurements. Use a straight-on photo at arm’s length with your hair pulled back. Many faces sit between two shapes, so we also tell you the runner-up.
What is the most common face shape?
Oval is usually named the most common. Diamond and triangle are among the rarest.
